Edinburgh International Climbing Arena
Edinburgh International Climbing Arena is an adventure sports facility located in Ratho, on the outskirts of Edinburgh, Scotland. The center offers the world's largest indoor climbing arena, bouldering facilities and an aerial assault course which takes 30 minutes to complete. The climbing walls are as tall as 35 meters (115 feet)!
The facility was built inside a former quarry , which closed in 1905. Trad climbing is available on the rock face of the quarry. The venue has a number of freeform walls as well as amazing angles on their competition wall. EICA hosted the 2004 Youth World Championships.
