In March of 2008 Great Britain hosted one of the most unique comps ever. The course consisted of 28 meters of horizontal climbing on multiple car-sized hanging (swinging) features. The finish of the route supposedly forced competitors to climb onto an actual hanging Ford Ranger and hit a buzzer on the driver-side door (what great advertising). Unusual things like this are a great way to get non-climbers interested in the sport.
