Flips Flops off and Climbing Shoes On! Winter Camp is here!

By Kayla Baker

What better way to make a wonderful winter memory than making new friends, building self confidence and, did I mention, rock climbing?? Aiguille Rock Climbing Center’s 2011 Winter Break Climbing & Challenge Camp will be starting on Monday, December 19, 2011 and is open to kids from ages 6 - 16 years old. Aiguille offers full or half days to best fit your schedule, as well as discounts for siblings and additional camp weeks.

Loaded with tons of climbing, team building games, and an all around confidence-boosting experience, Aiguille is the place for you this winter! And let’s not forget about the rappelling, technique classes, slack-lining, relay races, pizza parties, balloon animals, fun atmosphere, new friends, and more!

At Aiguille, kids learn to not only set goals for themselves, but also to push themselves in order to reach these goals. Counselors provide a warm and fun atmosphere and motivate campers to reach their goals every week. Whether it is climbing, being a good friend to someone, or keeping your balance on slack line, every goal is important!

Not only is climbing a great sport for your body, but it also strengthens you as a person, allowing kids to see that, as long as they put their mind to it, they can do more than they may think they can.
