The Ronnie Dickson Project: Amputee Climbing

You may remember Tampa local Ronnie Dickson from an old post, or met him at Aiguille on one of his visits.

Watch this new video from DeadPoint about how the amputee climber manages to send all your southeast projects.

  1. I had the honor and pleasure of climbing a handful of times with Ronnie in both Aiguille and VV. This guy is the most positive person you will ever meet. He's never put down about anything he can't do, he tells you he just needs to try harder.

About 2 years ago, I was up in Stonefort for the first time meandering around and freezing my butt off when all of the sudden I see Ronnie comin up the path. I was doing a HP40 to LRC trip that year, he was doing LRC to HP. We chatted while we hiked around and he showed us all the classic routes: one of which being Super Mario (the first one he climbs in the video) I have never been so awe-struck with watching a climb before. If you ever get the chance to climb or meet Ronnie.. I highly suggest it.

wish that was caught on tape

  3. I second Dan-O's comment. Never hav I met such a grounded, truely psyched climber than Ronnie. He's definatly an inspiration to myself and many others.

By the way, if you're reading this, thanks for the beta on super Mario. One of my faves now.
